What the state requires

0.5 unit of credit in Personal Finance is required within the 24 units for graduation, set by State Board rule 5 CSR 20-100.190 (promulgated under §161.092, RSMo). NO statute imposes the requirement.

All Missouri public high-school graduates since the class of 2010 (rule filed June 30, 2005, effective Jan 30, 2006; requirement added in the 2006 graduation-requirements revision).

CONDITIONALLY REQUIRED — Missouri's distinctive shape: an optional Personal Finance EOC (subject code PERSFN, free to districts, not among the required EOCs) that becomes REQUIRED for embedded-credit students (district sets pass rate) and for test-out students (90%+).
