Accessibility
What we target, what we verify automatically, and where we know we fall short.
The target
WCAG 2.1 Level AA, across the public site and the application.
Verified on every build rather than audited occasionally: automated accessibility scanning runs against every route at two viewport widths, and colour contrast is measured on the rendered page — the pixels the browser actually paints — rather than computed from the stylesheet.
Every screen is reachable by keyboard alone, colour is never the only carrier of meaning, and pinch-zoom is not disabled anywhere.
What we know is not covered
Automated scanning catches a minority of accessibility problems. We have not yet commissioned an independent audit or testing with assistive-technology users, and until we do, this page should not be read as a conformance claim.
No VPAT or ACR has been produced. [SLOT — VPAT. Needed for most district procurement; not yet started.]
Screen-reader testing has been done with automated tooling and manual keyboard traversal, not with users of screen readers.
