YES, but EMBEDDED and not a standalone course. 20-A M.R.S. 4722(2)(B) requires 'Social studies and history, including American history, government, civics and personal finance - 2 years or the equivalent in standards achievement.' Personal finance is a NAMED COMPONENT inside the social studies requirement, with no separate credit.

No standing instructional funding program. The only identified state appropriation is $15,000 from the General Fund for FY 2025-26 to support the Department of Education personal finance WORKING GROUP created by LD 1069 (enacted as RESV 2026 c. 125).
