YES, but EMBEDDED. A.R.S. 15-701.01(A)(2) requires the State Board to mandate at least one-half course credit in ECONOMICS 'which shall include financial literacy and personal financial management' for graduation. There is NO standalone personal finance course requirement.

State-mandated assessment

NONE. No state personal finance or economics EOC. The only social-studies-related graduation test is the civics test in A.A.C. R7-2-302 (raised to 70 of 100 correct beginning with the class of 2026). The OPTIONAL State Seal of Personal Finance Proficiency (A.A.C. R7-2-319) requires a State Board-adopted personal finance assessment, but participation is voluntary and schools opt in by September 1.law.cornell.edu

Grade 9: Secondary, Middle Grades, or Elementary Certificate with Middle Grades Endorsement, plus approved area Economics, Business, Social Studies, or Middle Grades Social Studies.
