Community financial education that leaves a record

learnfinancewith runs two things a financial institution can put its name behind: an adult financial-education program built to be taught in a community room, and a K-12 curriculum districts adopt to meet a state graduation requirement. Both document themselves as they run.

The adult program

Plain-language sessions across everyday banking, credit and rebuilding, and small-business bookkeeping — written to the same content gates as the school curriculum, with facilitator notes so your community team can teach them rather than hand out a brochure.

The entire adult track exists in English and in Spanish. Not a translated brochure: a parallel edition, held to the same reading and content standards, with a structural check proving the two editions differ in words and in nothing else. A program that cannot speak to a Spanish-speaking household is skipping much of the community it is measured on serving.

Sponsoring a district

Personal finance graduation requirements now exist in most states, and districts have to fund the courses that satisfy them. Underwriting a district’s adoption puts your institution behind the most documented financial education a community gets — and the documentation is the same file the district uses for its own audit, so there is one record rather than a separate report written for you.

What gets documented

The difference between an activity and an anecdote is whether anything survives it.

  • A named curriculum with sessions, objectives, and instructional time
  • Workshops with dates, facilitators, and attendance
  • Learners with something concrete they did in the first week
  • The same append-only record discipline the school product runs on

What we do not claim

The sentence to be suspicious of when another vendor says it: whether any activity receives Community Reinvestment Act consideration is the examiner's decision, and nobody can promise it for you. We do not. What a program can do is exist, reach people, and document both — which is the part an examiner can actually read.

Read the adult track — it is public on purpose — and tell us which community you would run it in first.
